How To: Installing Node.js and npm on a Raspberry Pi 3

In this post we will review how to install Node.js and npm on a Rasbperry Pi 3 running a fresh installation of Raspbian Stretch Lite. The version of node I’ll be installing is 8, however if you need to install a different version you can still use these instructions. Let’s get started!

This is essentially a three part process. First we remove any installation or packages that may have come preinstalled with Raspbian. Next, we’ll run a bash script provided by NodeSource which updates our repository so we can do a simple apt install. And lastly we’ll use apt to install Node.js. [continue reading]

BakersCalc is a simple yet powerful web application for creating and sharing baking formulas. It can handle a variety of formulas including ones with sourdough starters, and can even accommodate non-yeast based recipes. What A Save!

What A Save! started as an idea to create a price tracking website that displayed useful information like trending items and prices over time for the game Rocket League. The site was never completed but served as a good PHP/MySQL exercise as well as taking a shot at AJAX to create a live predictive search. IntroHub

IntroHub was an app created by Status Media as a modern way to connect with friends, business connections or anyone else you’d consider doing business with. Responsibilities included coordinating with their designer to create both desktop and mobile websites from scratch. Features include an adaptive design using CSS3 media queries, parallax scrolling, and a PNG sequence animation.
